PICS of MD Early voting - 3 hour lines, incredible enthusiasm

Waited in line for 3 hours to vote early in Montgomery County. Not even a swing state or county, but people showed up and kept coming.

Line outside:

then you get inside and its another 2 hours because of this:

unless you can't make it to the polls that day. At least that's what I read when I filled out mine in the 1980s. Would love early voting but not going to count on it.

Republicans usually have the appearance of being uptight and fussy.

Much welcomed pics. Thanks DEM.

This is a great sign. More involvement always means Democrat advantage.

Lots of enthusiasm. Met the two candidates running for District 1 school board. Voted for all of the questions except Question 7 (Expansion of gambling).

And yes, I do remember Ohio in 2004--those wonderful patriots were on a mission! I can't imagine how they must have felt seeing their votes stolen before their eyes after doing their part to unelect Bush.

I feel lucky every single election year to live in Oregon and to vote by mail. We sit on the couch in our comfy clothes, go through the voters' pamphlet, have a glass of wine... what an awesome way to vote!

I do kind of miss that civic pride and sense of community that in-person voters get to have as they wait in line together. Still, voting should be easy. It's so wrong to discriminate against people who don't have flexible schedules.

I've never waited more than a few minutes. Think about how many people there are that can't wait that long... tragic.
