Remember those "disappearing votes in Delaware"? This week's "cheating" scandal?

Media error:

Thousands of Bernie Sanders votes appeared to "disappear" in Sussex County, DE during tabulation of Tuesday's Primary (as described on yesterday's show). We finally receive an answer or two from the Delaware State Elections Commissioner Elaine Manlove about what might have happened. In short, without saying so directly, she chalks up the apparent disappearance of some 4,000 reported votes -- as captured via results screenshots from Washington Post, The Guardian and elsewhere -- to a clerical human error by the Associated Press, from whom many media outlets take their numbers on Election Night.

While her explanation -- which I share in full on the show -- has the ring of truth to it, the fact is that DE uses 100% unverifiable Direct Recording Electronic (DRE, usually touch-screen) systems across the entire state. And, as her answers make clear, while certain FOIAs can be filed, there is really no way for voters to ever know that any of the reported results from Tuesday actually reflect the will of the voters.

That is the issue. If we stopped using 100% unverifiable voting systems, the conspiracy theories would be put to rest. It is a disgrace that our so-called democracy depends on these proprietary, secret black box systems to tally the vote.

Because things are going well for your candidate?

Were you okay with the shenanigans that re-installed Bush in 2004?

Why are we no longer concerned about this issue?

Puzzled by the discrepancies, Freeman laboriously examined the raw polling data released by Edison/Mitofsky in January 2005. ''I'm not even political -- I despise the Democrats,'' he says. ''I'm a survey expert. I got into this because I was mystified about how the exit polls could have been so wrong.'' In his forthcoming book, Was the 2004 Presidential Election Stolen? Exit Polls, Election Fraud, and the Official Count, Freeman lays out a statistical analysis of the polls that is deeply troubling.

In its official postmortem report issued two months after the election, Edison/Mitofsky was unable to identify any flaw in its methodology -- so the pollsters, in essence, invented one for the electorate. According to Mitofsky, Bush partisans were simply disinclined to talk to exit pollsters on November 2nd(34) -- displaying a heretofore unknown and undocumented aversion that skewed the polls in Kerry's favor by a margin of 6.5 percent nationwide.(35)

That's informed by statistics (Democrats have won as many elections as Republicans) and the informed opinions of ACTUAL candidates and Party officials I've actually asked.

NEW DELHI: Polling for 2019 general
elections will be conducted through paper
trailbased electronic voting machines to
"enhance transparency".
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Nasim
Zaidi also said that voting through the
internet is not on EC's agenda in the near
future though it is going to use information
and communication technology (ICT) in a
big way to reach the voters in the coming
days.
"We have reached a stage where people
are demanding hundred per cent
deployment of paper audit trail machine.
We have preserved the secrecy (in this system) as well. Our plan is that by 2019, the
whole country will be covered by paper audit trail machines. The budget for this has been
committed now," Zaidi said while addressing an international seminar today.
The next general elections are due in 2019
