All super yummy. Lettuce (usually), parsley, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, sometime green peppers, other things, and dried or fried pita chips on top. The dressing is made with sumac so it's really tart and zingy and delicious.
Main difference between the styles is if there's lettuce and how much, and how the veggies are chopped - some are big chunky salads, others have everything finely diced.
One of my faves.

but the best part is seeing Secretary Clinton's supporters lose their teeny minds.

(3,022 posts)I have edited to fix that error. Although now that I think about it the minds of Secretary Clinton supporters do seem kind of loose.
One last thing your insult would be more effective if I had claimed intellectual superiority.

(2,931 posts)Good lord I must be a millionaire (checking bank account balance now)... oh, I just paid $20 for chicken penne a couple weeks ago. Damn, I almost thought I was rich enough to vote for Hillary.
Prism
(5,815 posts)It's gratuitously mentioned relentlessly and eye-rolling invariably ensues.
This menu looks like a meal I had a few weeks back for a special occasion. (Psst. I'm not rich.)
This is hilariously weak sauce. And from people supporting the mega wealthy Clintons, seriously. "Oh no! Bernie had a nice meal!"
Am I supposed to take this seriously as a piece of adult logic from serious people?
Because if that was the aim, shit just went into the trees.
NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)... posts directed at, and which are needling Hillary.
Prism
(5,815 posts)People are digging in dumpsters for a decent meal, and a wealthy supporter of an ultra-wealthy candidate is pretend scandalized by a salad.
If people have fun on the backs of the poor, okedoke then.
"Ahahaha, people are starving. But Bernie got some shitty plane food!"
Yay! Fun.
I don't get "liberals" who enjoy this fun.

Wow, talk about being silly and never missing an opportunity to get mad at something inconsequential. You guys crack me up, you know that!

Wanna try two out of three?
It's easy if you've got one of these! (See: Fig. 1) Considering how well Hillary is doing, it's a pretty handy thing to have!

(27,451 posts)I flew Air France last summer SF to Paris. Had quite a fancy meal complete with a choice of wine and champagne. I was in coach. I was so surprised since all I ever get on domestic flights is a bag of peanuts and a Coke.
Beacool
(30,250 posts)It also depends on the airline. On SAS I got fresh baked rolls, they were delicious. On Aerolineas Argentinas you get a choice of excellent Argentine wine. Ditto for Lan Chile. As you noticed, on Air France they serve you wine too. Some airlines also give small trinkets. KLM used to give passengers small bottles of liquor in Delft ceramic containers. Virgin Atlantic gave the cutest things, such as a toothbrush with a little rubber duck hanging from the handle.
Flying is now a chore, but it used to be fun when I was a kid.

(587 posts)....chartered a private flight to Rome with their family, enjoyed a full range of complimentary premium liquor, wine and beer, lobster rolls, a 5 course meal and custom printed menus?
I mean, I find the mere implication that this isn't blue collar all the way to be highly offensive! I know when I worked as a janitor at a factory, I always flew charter 767's to Europe.
To suggest that Bernie was doing something that ALL of us haven't done on a regular basis is just pure racism and bigotry.
Leave Bernie alone!!!

bobbobbins01
(1,681 posts)And its still pretty inexpensive in that area, especially in a salad form. I get lobster sliders from the back of a truck in my area for 6.99 each, I didn't realize I was living it up like the 1%.
This OP is almost an exact replica of the shit conservatives pulled on Al Gore in regards to his carbon footprint. It is embarrassing.

I wasn't outraged over John Edward's haircut or Obama's vacation choices. I'm not going to be outraged over this.
I'm a foodie. I have indulged in menus like this on rare special occasions. I would hate to have a single menu taken out of context and posted on a message board.
I wish we weren't infighting so much on here! Our guys both voted together over 90% of the time. Lets get along!
