Syrian, Lebanese, Palestinian...

All super yummy. Lettuce (usually), parsley, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, sometime green peppers, other things, and dried or fried pita chips on top. The dressing is made with sumac so it's really tart and zingy and delicious.

Main difference between the styles is if there's lettuce and how much, and how the veggies are chopped - some are big chunky salads, others have everything finely diced.

One of my faves.

It's gratuitously mentioned relentlessly and eye-rolling invariably ensues.

This menu looks like a meal I had a few weeks back for a special occasion. (Psst. I'm not rich.)

This is hilariously weak sauce. And from people supporting the mega wealthy Clintons, seriously. "Oh no! Bernie had a nice meal!"

Am I supposed to take this seriously as a piece of adult logic from serious people?

Because if that was the aim, shit just went into the trees.

People are digging in dumpsters for a decent meal, and a wealthy supporter of an ultra-wealthy candidate is pretend scandalized by a salad.

If people have fun on the backs of the poor, okedoke then.

It also depends on the airline. On SAS I got fresh baked rolls, they were delicious. On Aerolineas Argentinas you get a choice of excellent Argentine wine. Ditto for Lan Chile. As you noticed, on Air France they serve you wine too. Some airlines also give small trinkets. KLM used to give passengers small bottles of liquor in Delft ceramic containers. Virgin Atlantic gave the cutest things, such as a toothbrush with a little rubber duck hanging from the handle.

Flying is now a chore, but it used to be fun when I was a kid.
