The Romanian hacker who first exposed Hillary Clinton's private email address is making a bombshell new claim -- that he also gained access to the former Secretary of State's "completely unsecured" server.
"It was like an open orchid on the Internet," Marcel Lehel Lazar, who uses the devilish handle Guccifer, told NBC News in an exclusive interview from a prison in Bucharest. "There were hundreds of folders."
For more of Cynthia McFadden's interview with Guccifer, watch Nightly News on Thursday and the new NBC series "On Assignment," which debuts Sunday at 7 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. CT.
Who knew NBC was a member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy?
ON EDIT: A little more at link, and elsewhere "the network that shall not be named" has more information, including his claim he has 2 gigs of proof -- IT BEGINS...

(443 posts)Or can the US not prosecute him because the extrication orders are for only a set time. If he was granted immunity than someone in DOJ would of need to give him the OK to do this interview.

(72 posts)Also, will he dump the files if he did hack her? Does anybody know if he was extradited for any reason other than to give testimony for this case?

(52,166 posts)that he had done this. It also must have left out the part where he didn't release anything on line either. And it must have edited out the part where he misdescribes the surver he allegedly broke into. Or else you are telling us a bull shit story on purpose and it can't be that.

(10,559 posts)thanks for noticing! We can live thread it tomorrow because this is a tease. Turns out FOX was about to scoop them with a jail house interview from the last two weeks in the states - according to that article (which I won't link lest your delicate sensibilities be offended) he has two gigs of data "out there" for proof.

(3,089 posts)"When pressed by NBC News, Lazar, 44, could provide no documentation to back up his claims, nor did he ever release anything on-line supporting his allegations, as he had frequently done with past hacks. The FBI's review of the Clinton server logs showed no sign of hacking, according to a source familiar with the case."
