Bill Clinton advised racist woman-hating fascist and encouraged him to play larger role in politics
Four Trump allies and one Clinton associate familiar with the exchange said that Clinton encouraged Trumps efforts to play a larger role in the Republican Party and offered his own views of the political landscape.
Clintons personal office in New York confirmed that the call occurred in late May, but an aide to Clinton said the 2016 race was never specifically discussed and that it was only a casual chat.
The talk with Clinton the spouse of the Democratic presidential front-runner and one of his partys preeminent political strategists came just weeks before Trump jumped into the GOP race and surged to the front of the crowded Republican field.

(7,476 posts)Trump is the likeliest candidate to lose the election. What's more, there is even talk of Trump destroying the Republican Party. I, for one, am very happy Trump is running this year.

It was a serious WTF? moment.
Since then, the whole charade has been something I wouldn't even ask Alice about.
Alice being PTSD'd enough.
But they want Sanders to just quit already, and submit to total Clinton dominance, after which they'll just bury the ideals of Sanders' supporters and walk away.
Now they're going after the centrist-Republican vote.
The fuckers.

(47,177 posts)who's to say what convinced that brain damaged fool to run. Trump has less chance of winning than any puke candidate I have seen in my lifetime.

(9,086 posts)Trump is encouraging every anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, scumbag to crawl out from under their rocks and enter politics. What used to be marginalized is now back at the center of American life. Some of us literally live in fear of hateful attacks from Trump fiends.
You can't think of a downside though.

(47,177 posts)and what they talk about. I don't know if this campaign raises the threat of violence in everyday life or reduces it because it is being confronted and condemned. I can understand if folks feel strongly that it raises it. I hope that does not turn out to be the case. If you had asked me prior to his run what kind of candidate he would be I would not have guessed he was this bad.

(10,476 posts)Bill Clinton may have hinted to the Donald that he should run for president, thus the potential "racist woman-hating fascist" president is Bill's fault.
Some Sanders supporters of the "Bernie or Bust" ilk hate Hillary so much that they refuse to vote for her in the fall, but the potential "racist woman-hating fascist" president is not their fault.
