The saddest thing about her supporters is they acknowledge the fact she lies,

They just don't care. They can't be bothered to care about the human suffering in this country or the fact that we're killing the ability for humans to even exist on this Planet because of greed. It's the height of disgusting.

78. I find this incredibly embarrassing for our party
Sun May 8, 2016, 05:26 PM
May 2016

I first came to DU in 2004, traumatized by the Bush years. I felt that I had found an oasis. People who understood--intellectually, philosophically and emotionally--that corporate corruption, warmongering and inaction in climate change--were policies for Republican idiots.

I remember all of us understanding what PNAC was and decrying the Iraq War. Democrats were the smart ones who knew the Iraq War was a farce.

I always, always believed that Democrats had the higher moral ground. Being for peace and against the sociopathic neocons. Bring for single-payer, which is the humane choice. Being against powerful corporations that were purchasing our democracy. I always believed that eventually, we would win. Because we were good and decent. Because evil and lies surely can't be a sustainable political model.

Never--in my wildest dreams, did I invision that our Democratic party would someday be justifying the neocon/PNAC plan, unnecessary Middle East war, the Fascist/corporate takeover of our government and the rise of a candidate who embodies this crud.

It's surreal. It's also very sad.

I am embarrassed for the Democratic party.

Bill Palmer writes it all and all he does is prop up Hillary and smear Bernie. I guess any of us can get our own go daddy website, write whatever we want about someone and call it "news" now.

58. Yes, a really profound amorality has spread wide and deep in this country.
Sun May 8, 2016, 04:48 PM
May 2016

Admiration for "winners" no matter what they do to win, from reality game shows to banks and corporations. Lying is only a problem if it's a "loser" who is lying. Cheating is only (possibly) a problem if it's cheating in the name of anything besides making a profit. Killing is only a problem when it happens in one's own home or neighborhood. We've been characterized as a deeply narcissistic society for a long, long time and it only gets worse with every passing year, encouraged by the corporate media through entertainment, news, and advertising.

The more we devolve, the easier we are to control. The amorality is not a bug, it's a feature. But people are so far gone, they don't even fight it anymore.

It's like watching a pack of lemmings run off a cliff in slow motion.

Hmmm. Reminds me of something...
Oh Yeah.
"Sore Loserman".
Now WHO was it screaming that taunt in 2000?
Same mentality.

84. I'm not voting for Hillary because of Hillary supporters

Just kidding, I have actual reasons unlike them, such as Fracking, No fly Zone in Syria, she hasn't released the transcripts, she continues to get big money donations and has even begged to republicans for it, she's a war profiteer. Used the State depeartment as a tool FOR the Clinton foundation, where if foreign Embassy donated to Foundation, she gave them weapons through the state department, I don't trust her, she's pushed for horrible trade agreements most of her career. Her foreign experience is disastrous. Honduras, Libya, vote for Iraq war. She doesn't compromise with Republicans, she compromises with Democrats.

You personally know the views of millions of Hillary supporters and you've determined that they ALL acknowledge that she lies.

I'm a Hillary supporter and I've never thought she's lied, at least no more than Bernie.

But I'd love to buy that crystal ball of yours.

have speakers regularly. It's what they do during conventions and other 'team building' activities. No politician/ex-politician is going to promise anything in a large, open meeting. If anyone wants to be covert about quid pro quo, they do that behind closed doors with CEO's and CFO's. It's a matter of using common sense to look at situations, and not letting your hate for a certain candidate color your views.
