Let's Play- Outrage Roulette! Round 3!

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't think the outrage machine would swing towards Rush Limbaugh of all people.

No direct winners last week, but we do have a side bet winner. BigDemVoter, you win the "red or black" bet since the outrage is mostly related to birth control. That is a 1 to 1 bet, you win 25CC, giving you 50CC.

So, the betting board is clean. Place your bets!
What do you think the Right Wing machine will be mad about this week? To be considered an "outrage" the issue must result in
1. Conservative media being mad about something
2. Presidential candidates talk about it
3. Democrats must talk about it, debunk it, or laugh at conservatives for bringing the issue up.
4. The media must go bananas over it.
Once again, write down the topic and the number of Crazy Credits or CC for short you want to assign as a bet.

For example: I bet on Mexicans for 50CC. It's been a while since they attacked Mexicans.

Place your bets!

But I think it's always a guess as to what the unemployment rate will do. Most economists were thinking that January's unemployment might tick up to 8.5% - instead, it dropped to 8.3. I know Gallup suggests he'll surge to 9.1 in February, but I'm skeptical of that number. We haven't seen that big of an increase since 2009.

recover). I took that as an omen it would go up -- like he's got an inside
track.

My guess, it will tick up slightly, maybe .1% to 8.4%

Hmm, as I write, on MSNBC, survey of economists predict UE rate at 8.0% by Nov. Sure
would be nice to be in the 7's by October. Then Romney can't use his line about it
being over 8 for so long.

Funny thing about Gallup...they predicted UE would dip below 9% when it did. They actually
predicted it would be lower than it ended up being, at the time. So, despite it all, I listen
to them on UE. Guess if gas prices keep rising, could adversely affect. (or is it effect? :&gt

Think of them as fake money or Intrade cash.

Just assign an amount when you make a bet. It's like a playground game- no one starts with a set amount of cash or CC.

I see the right wing outrage machine has a new target but it's not exactly one with "legs". I'll give it one more day to see where it goes.
