2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDecision time for FBI on Clinton
Many of the former secretary of States top aides have been interviewed over the course of the last month, and Clinton herself is expected to answer investigators questions about her use of a private email server in the coming days or weeks.
Former officials and legal experts say the Democratic front-runner's testimony will likely be the final puzzle piece for federal prosecutors and FBI investigators as they decide whether to file any charges over her use of a personal email server while secretary of State.
This certainly sends the signal that they are nearing an end to their investigation, said Steven Levin, a former federal prosecutor and current partner at the law firm Levin & Curlett.
Though FBI officials have said Clinton is not the target of the probe, they would want to be as prepared as possible before going in to interview her, Levin said.
Typically, the way we structured investigations when I was a federal prosecutor is that we would seek to interview the target last, he said.

(1,681 posts)There is a lot of misinformation being spread. But the fact is, yes, they have been interviewed(also, Hillary knew they had been and lied about it in her Andrea Mitchell interview last week).

(2,902 posts)The only article I saw was a 'No one has reached out to me yet' from Hillary. Sounds like the FBI has given-up.

(1,681 posts)Turns out you're one of the ones I was referring to. There is literally a link in the article you're talking about that goes here:

(25,270 posts)before she is questioned? Or are those interviewed already barred from discussing their interviews and Q/A's?
It seems that the FBI can ask questions and see if she gives the same info or if they may catch her in a lie.
How will this play out?
bobbobbins01
(1,681 posts)But I imagine they'd have a hard time stopping Hillary from talking to Huma before she's interviewed.

(14,177 posts)Just her server in her home and her emails...but she isn't the target. Nothing to see here move along. It's just a security review.

Though FBI officials have said Clinton is not the target of the probe
I don't remember reading this. I do remember reading that the FBI wouldn't say if she was the target but not that she wasn't the target. Does anyone have any kind of link that states the FBI said she wasn't a target?
