The proposal that election officials ask voters for photo identification passed a Senate panel, 15-11, on Monday, and a spokesman for Senate Republicans said he expects a vote of the full chamber on Wednesday. 1. Is Gov. Corbett one of those Republicans who ran a bait & switch campaign in 2010

like the governors (most notably) of Wisconsin & Florida?

This is unquestionably voter suppression, & I hope that these state laws can be remedied by, perhaps, a federal law outlawing this Republican strategy when our Senate & House have majorities in 2013.

I tried to warn my fellow Pennsylvanians about this douche but to no avail. Not only did we get this piece of trash, we also got Pat Toomey in the Senate.

Unless they were fooling themselves. Corbett was pretty clear what he was about. Conservatives and teabaggers like the sound of their tough guy rhetoric but the practice not so much. But they'll vote against themselves anyway.

Republicans expect House OK; rancorous debate fills Capitol

HARRISBURG -- Senate Democrats spoke for hours on Wednesday against a proposal requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls.
