Poll: 27 percent of voters think Clinton would be a good president

HUFFPOLLSTER: Americans Don’t Think Clinton Or Trump Would Make A Good President
The public has little faith in either candidate.

VOTERS THINK BOTH HILLARY CLINTON AND DONALD TRUMP WOULD MAKE BAD PRESIDENTS - HuffPollster: “Just 27 percent of voters think Clinton would be a great or good president, while 17 percent think she’d be about average, and 54 percent say she’d be either poor or terrible. Trump fares about equally, with 30 percent saying he’d be great or good, 8 percent that he’d be average, and 53 percent that he’d do poorly or terribly.” [HuffPost]

A significant change from past elections - A December 2007 poll from Gallup and USA Today asking the same question found that Americans had significantly better impressions of then-candidates Barack Obama and John McCain. Forty-one percent of Americans thought McCain would be a great or good president, with 35 percent believing he’d be average and just 17 percent that he’d be poor or terrible. Obama scored even better ratings, with 51 percent saying he’d be good or great, 24 percent that he’d be average, and only 21 percent that he’d be poor or terrible. Even Clinton scored better in that survey, with just a third of voters believing she’d be a bad president.

The 30-something percent that insisted he was the "bestest president ever!!!" even after he finally left office.

Who was it that said "You can fool some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."

Or something like that.

Some people can be fooled some of the time.

7. We'll never know how many votes we're truly behind by, because these primaries were shit shows

How in the hell will we ever know how many votes Bernie is behind?

Nearly every state was a shit show of, "Ooops, I'm sorry, we can't find your registration!", or "Yes, I know you've been registered as a Democrat for 30 years, but we have you down as an Indepdendent."

How many people waiting in line to vote for hours and weren't able to? How many people were locked out in Arizona, Illinois and New York. New York says $110,00+ people who wanted to vote, couldn't.

How many voters were kicked off the rolls or the victims of "clerical errors" "whoopsie daisies" or "Sorry, our bad. Fill out this provisional ballot that will never be counted."

And those exit polls...that didn't match the results in dozens of states. The Republican exit polls matched their election results. But funny...the Democratic exit polls were broke. They didn't work. Two percentage points off in an exit poll, signals fraud--according to the US government. Some of our Democratic polls were off by 10, 20 percent.

The Republicans barely had a problem. Everywhere the Democrats went this year--problems on steroids.

I've never seen anything like it and I've seen at least 5 Presidential election cycles.

calls a 'giant suck-fest' regardless of which of the two is elected. Unfortunately, Cheese, we middle class will continue being screwed as the government keeps spending OUR tax dollars on shit we don't care about and doesn't help us one whit - the forever war, (we have 'boots on the ground' in a whopping 137 conflicts), PRIVATE prisons, a war on drugs we lost the minute it was declared and a bunch of other profitmongering shit that siphons OUR tax money into corporate profits and away from programs that help us.

In the meantime, these jerks we elect continue to enrich themselves at our expense, starting with the bold new 'free trade' acts, TPP and TTIP, which will suck away yet more decent jobs from Americans.

I'm f**king sick of having all these corporate leeches sucking at my blood.

Reminds me of that South Park episode where the little boy was kicked out of town because he wouldn't vote for the new elementary school mascot. When finally asked at the end why he refused to vote, he said, "My choices were a giant douche or a shit sandwich!"

Remember what the guy he was talking to replied? "That is what your choices will ALWAYS be...but you should vote!"

I'm referring, of course, to the "Vote or Die" campaign. Which I will not link to here, since it's rude, crude, and socially unacceptable (anyone interested can find it easily on YouTube -- search for "Vote or Die", and play the HD clip).

It is odd that the percentages of good predictions for Hillary and trump are about the size of their respective parties in the population.

The 40% independents aren't very high on either of these poor options.
