Vice President Joe Biden Will Be Making A Campaign Stop In Salt Lake City

Vice President Biden made a personal pitch for Utah's five electoral votes late Wednesday by flying 3,225 miles overnight from Scranton to Salt Lake City and asking for them.

...

"I was in the neighborhood, so I thought I'd drop by and say 'Hi,' " he quipped to the delight of some 7,000 enthusiastic supporters at a midnight rally who waved flags, pom-poms and signs in tribute and booed lustily at the mere mention of Governor Romney's name.

With polls in Utah showing the race between President Obama and Governor Romney too close to call, Biden decided Tuesday to add it to his tight schedule in hope of punching a hole in what has long been a Republican stronghold in presidential races.

The Obama campaign is closing in on 400 Electoral College Votes and hopes to pick up a state that hasn't voted for a Democratic presidential candidate since Franklin Roosevelt.

It has not been in the local papers that I'm aware of. I wish I had known! I would have been there to support Joe Biden (and of course, President Obama)!
When did he do this?
I am surprised that the Utah race is too close to call. It is a rare that I find someone in UT who is pro-Obama. If this is true, wonders will never cease!!!! I do know that after the election, we're working right out of the chute in 2013 to begin turning this state purple....
