2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhy do Hillary supporters criticize her campaign so often? Even undermine it (?)
Hillary has done all this before. She has one billion dollars cue'd up for the GE and all is going basically according to plan but apparently there a lot of backseat drivers who don't think she is running her campaign well.
The Hillary campaign has never asked Bernie Sanders to drop out. Never. And they don't want him to but her supporters here have their own agenda apparently. They ARE asking for Sanders to stop and have been since February.
Some of you just don't get it -- Sanders whips up the new base, gets them to register, gets them to rallies. He has to do this in every state. The Clinton campaign just can't do that and there won't be another national Dem primary for 8 years (probably). Sanders brings in the disillusioned and those who don't like MSM then the party machine will use these new voters in the GE and in 2018. In marketing this is usually called "bait and switch."

The GOP was trying to do the same thing -- use Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio to bring in new Hispanic voters and evangelical crazies then switch them to Jeb for the GE.
With Sanders to her Left Clinton looks more centrist and she definitely wants to look more centrist for the GE.
If you are really With Her why not get with her program?

(30,058 posts)Primaries go forward, more votes, more delegates. The percentage Sanders grows even when he wins a primary.

(36,649 posts)Using long-debunked RW talking points to attack Clinton. First saying that he doesn't care about Benghazi or the emails - then making that "sandal" a central issue in his campaign. First saying that the superdelegates are unfair & undemocratic, then campaigning to get them to flip & relying on them to win the nomination. Promising to release his complete tax returns, then delaying, delaying & delaying, and then only releasing a summary. Saying that he can win in Nov with independents & disgruntled Republicans, then criticizing Clinton for courting independents & disgruntled Republicans.
And that's only off the top of my head.

Those Hillary micro rallies aren't doing it. Obama did the heavy lifting in 2008, now it is Sanders.
Sanders still pulling them in:
