(3,111 posts)smart, they will look at the success of Bernie's campaign and make a wise decision. No matter what horse got you here, it's time to decide - are you with and for the people, or are you with and for the banks and corporations?
If you'd like a lasting legacy. If you'd like to do something striking and different for a change, you will seize the moment and the opportunity and ride a Progressive/Populist horse to victory.
The time is absolutely very right, to make sure this is not a year like 1968, but you can't do it by sticking with the same old tricks.
Veering rightward may have worked in the past, but it isn't going to work now. You can abandon the Third Way politics, or you can abandon a major part of the Democratic Party. You can't do both, or if you do, you risk a great likelihood of defeat.

We have been flogging the residue of Ronald Reagan-light for too long now. It is time for something very different. And whether it is Bernie leading the charge or Hillary, the time is ABSOLUTELY RIPE for a Progressive juggernaut into the White House.
Anything else that is different than that is probably doomed to failure.
