2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWith Hillary's Creditability on "It's a Security Review" Squashed, It's Time For Her To Bow Out
Hillary and her campaign, along with lap-dog Blumenthal, have been saying for nearly a year that the FBI was performing a "Security Review" and not an Investigation. Directly lying to voters and saying that it was nothing, now, with recent discoveries in the latest weeks showing that yes, she's SUBJECT OF NOT ONE BUT TWO FEDERAL INVESTIGATIONS. One for mishandling state secrets and one for corruption, both of which involve obstruction.
She has repeatedly lied to VOTERS about this.
She has known it was a lie.
Nominating her while being the subject of an FBI Investigation is reckless and dooming the party to the same level of disgrace that Clinton has already exhibited.
It's time to move on. It's time to nominate Bernie.

(2,902 posts)You made a claim. Provide video, or even audio, of anyone in the FBI making this claim, or admit the only thing you have is a third-hand quote from a Hillary basher. Provide evidence.

(23,018 posts)Comey had a press conference on Wednesday where he was directly asked if it was a security review. He said it was not and that it was an investigation. Made it very clear.
The investigation into corruption has been ongoing, as the Clinton Foundation was subpoenaed last year after both Bill and Hillary lied about it.

(26,060 posts)sorry for you. Day after day after day you post one anti-Hillary screed after another and Bernie still can't overcome her lead in delegates. That must be very frustrating for you. Nobody is going to hand the loser of the pledged delegate race the nomination.

(26,060 posts)Crimes? Where are the charges? Where are the trials? Where are the convictions? I thought REAL Democrats actually cared about such things. Keep up the endless supplies of faux outrage post after post after post. They're very amusing.

(23,018 posts)Easy pickings:
1. Violation of gov't employment law: she had Pagliano hired by State when he was on her private payroll. Illegal.
2. Mishandling of state secrets.
3. Intentionally and knowingly bypassing security procedures
List goes on...

(9,385 posts)More bullshit:
Nothing was marked classified. (That's 100% irrelevant, as she knows.)
No intent to mishandle records. (Intent doesn't enter into it, as she knows.)
Others did it too. (All the State Dept.'s communications for 4 years on a private DIY server does not equal a few emails on a commercial server, as she knows.)
Everything she has said about this, including that it's a right-wing smear, she has known full well was a total LIE. Nothing she says can be relied upon at all.
She is a lawyer. So is Bill Clinton. So is Obama. They all know that her statements on this are nonsense.
This is a deliberate attempt by all involved to CON the voters of America into electing her under FALSE PRETENSES.
That attempt alone, even if nothing else was wrong, disqualifies her and shreds their credibility and integrity (what's left of it).
So far, Obama is the least guilty one in this. But he knew that that "intent" remark he made in her defense was bullshit, and deliberately misleading the public. Not cool.

(3,795 posts)Your post is spot on, and it is a shame that a LARGE majority of Democrats don't seem to share this opinion currently.
Maybe that will change over the next few weeks.
Or maybe Blue Team can do no wrong.

(10,500 posts)after the voting was over, Bernie still wouldn't get the nomination. The convention would turn to Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren.
The only way Bernie can win the nomination is if it was handed to him by allowing him to run unopposed.
And again, this whole conversation is fraudulent. Hillary will not be dropping out, nor should she. She will win the nomination and then she will win the general election.

(1,901 posts)lied about what his campaign staff's hacking of and stealing of Clinton's data? The one who is trouble with the FEC, which is an actual violation of federal laws?
Funny how she's actually not being investigated for either thing that you mention, but your guys has repeatedly lied to voters about supposed "money laundering" and so many other things that they know full well are lies, but gee, let's violate the will of the majority of ALL voters, and give the liar the crown he failed to win on his own, even after pulling lots of dishonest dirty tricks, including intimidation of super-delegates.
Bernie sure is a disgrace, per your own standards, it is time to move on and for the loser to stop demanding that rules don't apply to him, that voters MUST be disenfranchised, and their votes disregarded since Bernie and his minions believe that losing is WINNING and it's his turn, and HRC voters and Dems shouldn't count anyway it's only the Democratic party and libertarians, Trump voters and Indies are the only votes that count, not those blah... voters in the South who "celebrate the culture of the Confederacy" and gather on ghetto street corners where they fail to educate themselves of the great hope that Bernie offers them!
These impassioned posts demanding disenfranchisement while parroting RW talking points might serve the agenda of Rove and the GOP, but despite their comedic value, they're not something that anyone who is interested in democracy, or the Democratic party, or any true liberal or progressive would lower themselves to post.
* note to a jury these are facts that are backed up by evidence, the quotes Bernie and his supporters have made, which are offensive, but which they actually said and the origins of the lies about the FBI thing, which are demonstrably right wing and which are pushed by Fox, and their dedicated followers. If you are offended that people call out such posts as being RW in nature, the posters should refrain from using RW talking points.
