but really I think the bigger problem for Santorum is the numbers Gingrich is bringing in some counties.

just about anything will provoke comment.

Yes, it's definitely a challenge to make a headline about Santorum without "positioning" yourself for dirty minded puns.

Ohio decided the 2004 election.

Isn't it pretty much Ohio, Florida, and (to a lesser extent) Pennsylvania that decide presidential elections nowadays?

So Ohio is really the only state that counts.

Must suck to live there during election season. They probably hanker to see some Taco Bell ads, instead of 24/7 political attack ads.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/06/politics/super-tuesday-winner-take-all/index.html

Santorum did not submit any delegate slates in three districts (congressional districts 6, 9, and 13), which means he cannot win any delegates from these districts. In six additional districts (CDs 3, 4, 8, 10, 12, and 16), he submitted only partial delegate slates, which means that if Santorum wins any of these districts, he will only receive one or two out of the three possible delegates in that district.

He may have selectively chosen which slates to focus on though so it may not be bad for him (I don't have a map with a breakdown of what CDs he's winning).

As always, the networks try to create a horserace, even when there really isn't one. I knew Romney would win it. I think they did, too. It's all just smoke and mirrors to keep people tuned in, to keep it exciting. God, I hate them so much.
