2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe media is so ridiculous calling all these 50/50 primaries "wins" or "losses".
It's not like the general election, where the electoral votes are winner take all. With the primaries, as most people know, the delegate split will be roughly even, no matter who technically "wins".
What is important about the win, however, is almost all psychological. And by "psychological", I mean it appeals to the minds of low-information voters, who only want to jump on the winner's bandwagon, and who have no interest in learning that only a few hundred votes separate the two candidates.
In short, it's a way of keeping many Hillary voters satisfied that they are on the winning side. So, ridiculous at it is, I guess calling a 47/46 race a "win" for Hillary does serve a purpose...
