2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumEastwood really has decided to scrap what little dignity he had left, hasn't he?
Maybe the only thing more sad than arguing with furniture - from earlier tonight:
Clint Eastwood sat down with Sean Hannity tonight for a wide-ranging interview that hit on everything from Eastwoods infamous RNC convention speech in August to just how liberal Hollywood actually is. Hannity repeatedly told Eastwood he loved the speech and made many important points about President Obama that he agreed with.
Hannity said he liked how Eastwood brought up Obamas broken promises and that its okay to get rid of someone whos now doing a good job. Eastwood said that a lot of people feel dissatisfied with the president but dont want to admit they made a mistake supporting him the first time. He credited Romney as the perfect guy for the job, and said he is not happy with how the Obama administration handled the crisis in Benghazi.
Hannity also liked the point Eastwood made about politicians being the nations employees, asking him why people have such a personal attachment to Obama. Eastwood said that he notices many Obama supporters being overzealous in their defense of the president, which he said sounds suspicious.

Shilling for Rove's SuperPAC was pretty pathetic, but this is yet another new low.
I figure having his most recent movie totally flop finally made him feel he qualified as 'has-been' enough to be a Hannity celebrity.
Congratulations, Clint!
You're now just another Victoria Jackson.
And I find it telling that of all the Republicans to run in Clint's lifetime (Reagan, Dole, McCain, etc), the one who inspired him to break his silence and get deeply involved...is the perpetually lame Mitt Romney.
What a sad, sad old fool.

(4,611 posts)He goes on national TV to celebrate the resurrection of the US auto industry, then turns around and calls the man who led the charge to destroy it "the perfect guy for the job." He took their money and pretended to care about them; now he's gleefully stabbing them in the back.
That's lower than stupid or senile. That's fucking craven.

Eastwood's an out-of-touch elitist who couldn't care less about the working people who made him who he USED to be.
Supporting Rmoney isn't the act of a senile man; it's the behavior of a selfish old rich prick.

(1,060 posts)"Make my day!"----no more for you Clint---how foolish of you to align with Fox-----all of your finely honed Hitchcockesque movie making talent is going to get a royal flush. Hannity is the lowest you could go. I am sure that you could have found another show to guest on and have an audience that would accept it. Your "formula" on this one is a failure. But you have "made my day". I am sure glad that the right wing in this country continues to ""not get it". Biden said it best.
