2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumMy friends in Kansas are voting even if we will lose big because...
We want the popular vote now. I have all my friends and relatives in Kansas voting for O. We know we are losing but our votes will help the popular vote to make up for Northeast turnout. I hope all RED states are doing the same. GOTV. GOTV..
Hope all Dem voters in swing states and blue states are going to form a long line starting at 5 am on Tuesday so that their votes are not suppressed
get the red out

(13,778 posts)the R primary is where people get "elected". However, I won't cross over (we don't register by party and we have open primaries where you can select which party to vote for).
I want those who review the numbers to know that there are serious Democrats here.
And, unless it's an unusually moderate (R) here, I don't cast a vote for them in the general election either. That also tells them that X number of people voted and only Y people voted for the only candidate on the ballot. The difference is the "protest" vote.

(711 posts)my hubby and I voted that day. I've urged everyone I know to go VOTE EARLY and avoid any lines and if they say anything
about Kansas being a red state, I just tell them to vote so O will win popular vote! We may not be able to totally beat the rethugs here in Kansas but we can keep trying. Plus, I think lots of folks are getting fed up with this far-right governor.

(609 posts)I am ashamed of our governor and our so-called voter fraud alarms. We have no voter fraud issues but Kansas Legislature thinks there is and they spent lot of money.
There were probably 5 illegal votes????
Vote for O so that Brownback is forced to implement Health care Reform. He is sitting with no action and hoping O loses.

(14,971 posts)I grew up in Kansas back when it was a far more moderate place. My grandfather was a Democrat in the Kansas State legislature and he's probably turning over in his grave at the very thought of Brownback having control of his state. I think your vote is every bit as important as a swing state vote. Thank you!

(20,730 posts)is to determine future target markets and demographics.
Every little bit of pressure you put on lying republicans, national or local, helps curtail their greed.
If Kansas moves blue by 2 or 3 or 5 points, that's enough to scare the crap out of all future candidates.
Plus, we all need to create our own local databases for future use on issues like choice or health care or education.
People should never sit out of an election.
Way to go!

Would be even more important than a blue state. So often many forget how issues at the state level affect our lives and nothing empowers the neocons more than uneducated a apathetic public. It affects us all! Good for you and we support your effort, Thanks!!!
