Will whoever our nominee is run the ads that we need to in order to defeat Trump?

This is probably the first ever election in history where all we'd need to do is run ads featuring nothing but clips of Trump saying the exact things he's said about Latinos, Mulsims, minority populations in general, and of course women.

Will we run clips of him saying he's pro-choice or any of the other positions he had which he has now only recently changed to win the Republican nomination?

No voice overs would be needed. No commentary needed. Just clips of Trump being Trump. Over and over and over and over again.

My assumption is that this would be a complete and total no-brainer. But then again I'm unfortunately very used to the party snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in very painfully obvious and clear situations.

In fact what is preventing super pacs and the DNC for that matter from running those ads now that we know he is the nominee. It doesn't matter who our nominee is, the opponent remains the same and the sooner we start hammering him and the party that would nominate such a loathsome human, the higher the margin of victory will be for us. Whoever our nominee is.
