Why they want Bernie to drop out.

It isn't because he's being so rough on Hillary. As if Trump would need to take attacking points from Bernie.

It is because of the drip, drip, drip about the emails. She will be interrogated by the FBI within the next week or so and then the investigation will be concluded. Whether or not she's indicted, it will upend her campaign.

Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency stated on CNN that if he had done what Hillary did he would have lost him job and gone to jail.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who worked under Obama stated that it is extremely high probability that foreign governments have her emails.

Attrorney General Michael Mukasey has stated in two OP eds why Hillary should be indicted. In one of them he goes through all of the charges.

And this is all from information available to the public. But the FBI must know more than is available to the public.

There is ample evidence of criminal activity.

SO, why do they want Bernie out? If he is out and she drops out, no one will protest if they make Biden (or someone else they chose) the nominee. But if Bernie is still in, I don't think they will be able to simply ignore him and install someone else. That would be chaos.

I have heard that even top Democrats are worried about this email scandal. They see the evidence coming out and they all read and signed under oath that same agreement about security that Hillary signed under oath.

We want Bernie to drop out for the same reason Trump wanted Cruz to drop out: you win, you quit spending on the primary, you start consolidating the party and it increases your chances of winning in November.
Very simple. It is not a conspiracy, it's an election process.

Make no mistake: Being likable counts for something, but he's still the former Senator from MasterCard with a voting record that matches Clinton's on key issues.

Choosing Warren as his running mate might make the medicine go down a little more easily, but losing Warren in the Senate so she could occupy a largely ceremonial role would be a hard pill for many progressives to swallow.

Warren has been very cagy about echoing some Bernie talking points without actually coming out and endorsing him. I'm sure she's hedging her bets.

drops out--that he can't win the nom and that she can't recoup in 3 months (convention-GE) and needs like 6 (now-GE), and that his criticisms are used by Trump so remove that factor and she'll bounce right back

and in a way that's all true: if we didn't have a primary choice Honduras and Libya would be nonissues, giddily blocking Single Payer would be acceptable since as usual we'd think she didn't MEAN to say all that since she has liberal instincts after all doesn't she, the server lawsuit would be dismissed as Republican nonsense, we lefties'd all just grit our teeth, hold our noses, knuckle under, eat our peas: Clinton is THE expert in using partisanship to pound the GOP while racking up the "bills passed" by proposing bills palatable to the GOP

maybe with a little more fingerwagging thrown in

of historical polling data. The basic idea was that in EVERY election Hillary has been in, she starts high in the polls and when she starts trending down, she has NEVER been able to turn that around.

And from the latest polling against Trump, she is already trending down and he is ahead. From all historical data of Hillary in elections, that points to her losing.

Every person in positions of national authority document allegiance to that oath. As a local official, I was sworn to uphold a similar responsibility, though a role of a local official is inherent to the state with much less at stake.

There is every reason to believe these e-mails are in the hands of persons through ILLEGAL means. Furthermore, I do not see how this can end well.

Bernie would not drop out at this point, but YOUR point is one reason why.

let it be Mr. Independent/Socialist. I agree that Biden would be the one. Sanders time has come and gone.

And no, I'm not saying this because I think there is anything to the GOP emailgate...I am playing along with your little game and saying that Sanders will not get the nomination. Not enough Democrats voted for him, much less the general electorate.

or at least tone it down significantly, because we are tired of having to go on pretending that he still has a shot at the nomination, and tired of Hillary having to spend money, time, and energy, on him, when she needs to start focusing on Trump. There is no way that Bernie can catch up to Hillary, and his bizarre argument that he's going to convince the SD's to appoint him, is so absurd that I'm starting to wonder if the man is not starting to live in la la land. Fact is, he's wasting our time by still campaigning, and his continued attacks on the Democratic Party and the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party at a time when we should start gearing up for the GE, is getting really troublesome. If he had chosen to suspend his campaign, which would still allow his supporters to vote for him, or if he had chosen to continue but to start pivoting towards support of Hillary, I could respect him. But the road he has chosen is one that is pretty dangerous for the nation, and all because of his ego. Trump is a danger to minorities, to women, to absolutely everybody. His racism and misogyny are both so vile that those alone should disqualify him. Added to that his ego and his absolute lack of knowledge of government, and I fear for this country and for the world if he were elected president. We simply cannot afford to weaken our Democratic nominee, to attack her, or to waste her time at this point anymore. So yes, I've lost my patience with Bernie. He seems willing to risk the nation, indeed the world, for the sake of his ego.
