(2,472 posts)Obama would appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the run up to the Iraq war. He would appoint another one to investigate each and every financial institution that helped bring down the economy.
Unfortunately a bunch of newbies forced an under qualified RINO on the rest of us with the help of the MSM. Now the same idiots that foisted Obama on us want to give us a septuagenarian looser on us.
A septuagenarian who hasn't said boo about investigating Bush.
And what's the big hope? That another bull shit investigation hits gold where none other has done more than impeach a blow job and add to human misery.
Sanders supporters don't give a shit about justice. They just want their woobie to win by any means.

That's much more likely than a Clinton indictment, by the way. There are reports that negotiations are already underway.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
"There is also a chance of some face saving health problem negotiated to avoid prison."
This is over the top. These allegations thrown willy nilly at one of our candidates is self defeating and divisive. It's fine to have an opinion, but this goes far beyond that.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun May 22, 2016, 07:46 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

(6,007 posts)Hopefully the jury system will get refined and the looney jurors will be ousted.
Maybe they should also have a system like the police do that if they get too many calls from some individual, they don't take them as seriously. Maybe if someone is found alerting a lot, they should start ignoring their alerts.
Just a suggestion.

(36,418 posts)but passes on recommending indictment, instead listing her many violations but leaves it to the DOJ to decide whether to convene a Grand Jury. That's the most likely outcome. How does the Party react to that?
pdsimdars
(6,007 posts)they will need to explain how it is that it is now legal to have almost 2200 classified messaged, 22 of which are at the top level of classification, on your private, unsecure, non-government server.
There are MANY such questions, but you get the idea.
How can they possibly indict anyone else for having classified information outside the government control where it is supposed to be?
Every person in the intelligence field will be upset because if they would have done anything near what Hillary did, they would probably be in prison.
leveymg
(36,418 posts)Comey report will itemize the acts that might be considered violations without making an explicit recommendation, one way or the other, about indictment. That will probably be a compromise measure that will satisfy nobody and everyone.
The FBI isn't required to issue a recommendation about indictment, but it is traditional in national security cases. However, it is the duty of the AG to make that decision, so I would understand if the Bureau simply reports without recommendation. If this is the outcome, one would almost certainly expect that behind the scenes there has been plea negotiations with HRC's lawyers and succession planning has been put in place.
Without a solid agreement and succession planning this would result in the worst sort of chaos, uncertainty, and acrimonious division to the advantage of the GOP. Nobody in the Party leadership in their right mind wants that.

(5,444 posts)so it won't matter. If she is elected, she will have to resign. In the latter two cases, it will really matter who the VP is. In all of these cases it won't matter what her supporters think.

(7,473 posts)I'll say she should withdraw. I'll also partially admit I was wrong. I never said she definitely won't be, just that she probably won't be.
If we are stuck with her on the ballot I'll follow to see if the case is really a good one. If it isn't I'll defend her. If it is, I'll just pray Trump doesn't get us all killed.

Guess HRC supporters will wish they had supported Bernie, but golly gosh, it will be too late then...or maybe they'd rather have Trump over Bernie?
