George Stephanopolos asks Sanders about being Clinton's running mate.

STEPHANOPOULOS: If you don't, sir, and this is my final question.

Are you hoping to be considered if Secretary Clinton's running mate?

SANDERS: It's a little bit early to talk about that. Right now, our function is to do everything I can, George. And you're going to see me running all over California; we're in New Mexico now. We're going to do everything that we can to get every vote and every delegate that we can and go into that convention with as much momentum as is possible.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Didn't hear a no. Senator, we'll be talking to you soon. Take care.

SANDERS: Thank you.

Dealing with and competing with people who annoy you but not being able to show it.

I don't actually know if Hillary is mad at Bernie. Frustrated at his tick like survival perhaps, but really mad? I can't say.

He kept the process interesting, AND if she really believes all that beltway noise about how "sensibly moderate" the electorate is, he's allowed her to define herself in that space by not being lefty uncle bernie.

a complete control freak (except about email security, apparently).

Plus, Bernie knows he can accomplish a lot in changing congress/legislative policy on the outside of the exec branch since he has a solid 1/3+ of the voters actively engaged in his platform. How much could he do to reform corruption and advance renewable energy, as examples, if Hillary was leading the shaping of policy?

to spread his ideas which is needed for advancing the revolution. In that case, VP would make sense. Not sure Clinton would pick him, or give him free reins to speak. Frankly, she needs a constant leftward push to counter her own tendencies and Bill's so someone like Bernie would be useful.

He's collected millions in the popular vote, he's nabbed 1499 pledged delegates so far, he's brought in so many people who normally sit these things out. The Democrats would be fools to snub him at the DNC.

The big question leading up to Denver in 2008 was what they were going to do with Hillary Clinton who'd also won a lot of support, in the end not only did they, more or less, devote a whole night of the convention to Hillary, she also was given the SoS gig. The threat then, as I recall, was splitting the party in half, which isn't much different from what people are saying around here now.

So I believe Bernie has a lot of leverage going into Philly this year. He'll run the primary to the last, and switch gears to gain as much as he can for his agenda. Bernie's no fool and he's played this game in the Senate for decades.

Second, Clinton isn't dumb. She knows that floating a rumor about VEEP, especially that she might consider Sanders, would not in anyway help either her, Sanders, or Democrats at this time.

Third, Bernie would be as wrong for a Hillary ticket as she would be on a Bernie ticket. We don't want age or northeast region to be an issue. Both prospected nominees would no doubt select a younger person from a different region, one that may need some propping up on Election Day.

And I am a strong Bernie Sanders supporter. If he fails to get the nomination (which seems likely) I would be happy to see him return to the US Senate where we desperately need people of his quality.

Best regards.
