So we need to work hard to get the 1% candidate elected or Bernie's revolution will be undermined?

Bernie's movement is to return government to the people. It is a government now controlled by the 1%. So unless we rally behind and work hard for the candidate who is the poster person for a 1% government, Bernie's Revolution will be undermined. Do you realize how ludicrous this statement is? Working hard to get Clinton elected will do more than undermine the Revolution, it will end it. You really do think Bernie Supporters are a bunch of idiots. Unfortunately for the status quo they are not.

Just when I think I can't possibly read something dumber than what I just read or heard voila:

You should have settled for just asking for the vote.

Note: A young voter stopped by awhile back. He was really getting into listening to Thom Hartmann UNTIL Hartman told him to rally behind Hillary.

Oh, and if I was for a President Trump, I wouldn't point out stupid shit like this.

3. I'm not working for HRC period

She represents the upper 10%, not working Americans.

I'll hold my nose and vote for her in the GE, and that is all she gets from me; unless she makes stupid remarks about cutting social security and torpedoing any remaining New Deal programs.

If she needs money, all those who voted for her in the primary should be required to send $ to back their votes for her.

I'm not going to vote for her. I refuse to continue in the charade of voting for the lesser of 2 evils only to find out they weren't any less evil. Hillary or Trump will turnover the remains of our economy to the uber rich. They are both monsters when it comes to the economy. The rest of the issues are mostly window dressing.

10. Yup. Wouldn't it be a real shame if a Bernie like candidate wins in the future

only to have his legislative program thrown out by a 5-4 decision whose deciding vote was appointed by Trump?

If that happens, those who think electing Clinton now wont help progressive causes in the future will deeply regret their actions at that point (at least, the ones that actually care about progressive policy victories in the first place). But by then it would be far too late. Wouldn't it be better if they saw the light now?

13. Doesn't anyone remember Rahm Emmanuel?

When Obama was elected in 2008 most of us felt that his campaign for hope and change would enable a lot of positive progressive initiatives to take hold.

How many people were dumbfounded by Rahm Emmanuel and his views of "the left"?

Who is he allied with?

So the argument is we should support HRC because then, at least, we would have a chance of eventually seeing progressive programs come to fruition.

More likely we would see an administration that did its best to crush the left. On the other hand we would have an administration that literally didn't give a crap about anything except maybe getting Trump some more hotels and casinos.

I will vote for Clinton because the alternative is a laughing stock of the world and his presence in the WHite House would be disastrous, and dangerous. I have no delusions that Clinton will do anything to help on any of the social issues she has wrapped herself in following Sanders step by step. Still, if the American voters elect her so be it.

No democracy has lasted as long as this one. Perhaps it is our time to crumble.

And the water is rising, like Trump says.

Three million votes behind and way behind on delegates.

If Bernie starts focusing on growing his support and the movement, it can happen but so far, it hasn't.
