Hillary Clinton in Detroit today for speech to SEIU
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will address a key group of union members Monday afternoon at Cobo Hall as she aims to capture her party's nomination.
Clinton is expected to address more than 3,000 Service Employees International Union members at 1 p.m. at the union's 2016 International Convention. The SEIU endorsed Clinton last November.
Today marks the second time this month Clinton has traveled to Michigan. Clinton addressed a crowd of nearly 10,000 people at the 60th annual NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund dinner at Cobo on May 1.
Clinton remains well ahead of Sanders for the Democratic presidential nomination. Her campaign says she will use the speech to the SEIU as an opportunity to discuss her plans to raise incomes for working families and break down all the barriers holding Americans back.
