Corruption.
Nothing changes while our elected officials are on-the-take, willing to make their campaign promises disappear for the right price.
I'm seeing posts about Bernie demanding greater say in the Democratic Party platform, and even a say in Clinton's cabinet choices.
Why, you might ask, would a "loser" make such demands?
Because Clinton is as corrupt as the day is long. He's hoping to prevent her from backing away from her campaign promises for the benefit of her corporate "sponsors".

(20,885 posts)What do people who insinuate statements from total strangers call themselves? Whatever, you are one of those.
As fracking has similar detrimental effects on the environment as using coal does, I'm not for that either. Transporting, pipelines, for either -- a real mess.
You can choose from renewable sustainables, or sustainable renewables.

(56,582 posts)Since you're against fracking, by your own words you are for more coal.
You can say "I want renewables" all you want; so do I. The actual fact is that today, decreasing fracking means burning more coal.

(20,885 posts)We have to end this party. Alternatives have been suppressed for fifty years. Time to move, -- now. Renewables are more fun anyway.

(56,582 posts)Agreed. It also completely avoids the uncomfortable fact I pointed out: if today we decrease fracking, we are by that action burning more coal.

(56,582 posts)It would take about a decade to build those out to meet what either coal or NG are doing for generation right now, if we started literally today.

(56,582 posts)If we had, we wouldn't be having this conversation. We need to start this ****ing minute. But that doesn't let me avoid responsibility today for the tradeoff between fracking and coal today

(56,582 posts)Yep. There's not a way to make that happen today. If we start working now, in about a decade there might be. Pretend otherwise all you want, though...

(15,512 posts)Now they roll Democrats to throw elections. Old game, new targets. I wouldn't pay them no never mind.
p.s. Holder seemed better at keeping them in line but I expect they'll get a smackdown soon enough.
