Why was this not reported last night?
Mitt Romney and the GOP spent millions of dollars for an extremely important primary fight last night. Yet more people in Ohio voted for Obama than Mitt Romney!
Here it is.

And here is the full story from Rachel Maddow's blog site.

The pukes got nearly a million votes? Obama got less than 600,000.
How's that work?

(4,667 posts)2. I'm not sure what you are getting at.
Obama received more votes than Romney. The GOP as a whole are going to have more total people voting because they have a contested primary. That's why its so amazing that Obama tallied more votes than the leading GOP contender.
This part of your OP is wrong: Yet more people in Ohio voted for a Democratic ticket than a Republican ticket
Because MORE folks voted on republican 'ballots' than on Democratic ones.
If you had just left it at total number of votes of Obama vs. Romney then you'd be correct.
But NOT on total number of votes/ballots/tickets

I made a mistake by typing too fast. I have made the correction to the OP.
Thanks for the help!

(19,178 posts)5. Almost 600,000 people came out and voted for him
when he's running unopposed. Thats either some truly dedicated voters. Or just enthusiastic voters!!

At this point we don't know.
