Okay I gotta ask this about HRC

If HRC was guilty and knew she was guilty of some thing that was going to stop her cold from getting the nomination and winning the election.. why in heck would she have run in the first place?

Now I am serious here... I know everyone is juiced up on both sides.. but it just makes no sense.

She has been through the grist mill so many times.. why would she even do that?

Do I think she screwed up by having that private server in her basement.. YEP .. do I understand after everything she has been through why she get so private.. oh yeah.. I do that too

But the state dept rules were pretty muddy.. and from the looks of it.. not so good at their technology.. thinking she had better security on a private server.. well it looks like it..

The one good thing that is coming out of this..is maybe they will get their acts together in the State Dept and secure things down.. and get people in there who move as the internet moves.. this is a brand new world and what worked last week.. will not work in three weeks..

If this were a Republican, DU would be up in arms. Please tell me you can admit at least that much.

Bill Clinton ran for office twice knowing full well that his affairs could become public. I'm not going to dig up our dirty laundry. I want to hear about issues, not hyperbole.

up to the digital age, I'll have to see it to believe it. Government computers are hacked every day. The Pentagon and VA's records are not digital and un-audited. This is a government wide problem. They just lay it all on Hillary's shoulders for political gain. They will fail.....again.

question that we've heard from some for several years - "If Obama knew that he was born in Africa, why did he run?"

The answer that you are looking for is that, just as Obama believes that he was born in Hawaii, Clinton does not believe that she committed any crimes. And, I agree with her.

Honestly, if I were in her shoes, being the sort of person I am, I might have done the same thing. I have been known to circumvent the rules because of red tape or klunky functions. I, however, do not have national security at risk.

There is an element of entitlement that power people develop over time. And she lost sight of where to draw the line.

What benefit did Hillary get from having a private email server of which she had complete control? There was no audit trail of State Department emails, so we have to take her word for it that what she's provided is all there was. We really have no way of knowing.

So ask yourself - how did this setup benefit her?

Don't forget she was in charge at the State Department. If the system was antiquated, it was her job to get it up to speed. It was also her job to fill the IG position, something she didn't do so it remained vacant for 4 years.

Why was it necessary for Hillary to have no IG oversight, and no email audit trail while she was SoS?

12. So, because Hillary ran for president, that means she didn't do anything wrong?

I think you are putting too much faith in Hillary, I must say.

Just because Hillary is smart, does not mean she is perfect. Like any politician, she could think she is above the law, and have arrogance because of how long she has been in the political elite...

Let me give an example...remember John Edwards? Well, he ran for president, and the whole time, he was having an affair with another woman, and he even had a love child with her as well. Yet he still ran for president, knowing this the whole time! He was a very smart person as well...

the point is, Hillary may have just had so much ambition and desire to be president, that she decided it was worth it to try, at all costs. (and don't forget she came this close to winning in 2008, that also must have had a huge impact on her to try again)

I would bet you $100 the Chinese read everything she did in real time for essentially her entire term.

I think we can add in the Russians and North Koreans and a lot of other bad people.

The security abysmal. People like to toss out lots of talking points, but this server was hacked by probably every major foreign power.

Things weren't that muddy. As far as I'm concerned the problem isn't the private email thing , it the server and her handling of Federal documents. Reading the report these regulations were very clear and she ignored them. The report also directly contradicts lies she has told publicly about this situation because she knew it would harm her chances at her final run. It's all about her.

Yes they have been through the grist mill many times, gristmills of their own making. Bill got away with it due to the "vast RW conspiracy" and he's likable, when he would talk to you, you felt like he was someone you could trust. Hillary doesn't have that and she get's caught with her flip flops, her lies and face it, she's done some stupid shit. The internet is way more prevalent now than it was back then. I adored her, the proudest day of my life was when I caucused for her in 08. Now I won't even listen to her.
