For those of you who think that worrying about losing one's job is "other people's problems"....

I have something to show you...

Only Bernie is standing up for Americans' ability to earn a living. Big corporations are destroying the ability of many Americans to make a living, and it's getting a lot faster with automation and super smart artificial intelligence. You'd be a fool if you think you are immune from the ravages of corporatism. Hillary doesn't give a damn shit about your ability to make a living, as she is one of the corporatists.

2. HRC: "Outsourcing will continue"
Sat May 28, 2016, 12:31 AM
May 2016

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/07/AR2007090702780.html

When Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton flew to New Delhi to meet with Indian business leaders in 2005, she offered a blunt assessment of the loss of American jobs across the Pacific. "There is no way to legislate against reality," she declared. "Outsourcing will continue. . . . We are not against all outsourcing; we are not in favor of putting up fences."

about the outsourcing of jobs, because it didn't affect them. Then, the reading of x-rays and the like started being outsourced, and all of a sudden they got it. Too late, of course.

16. Complete BS. Foreign outsourcing of radiological studies is not permitted

"outsourcing" always means to another radiologist who is licensed to practice in that state, but not necessarily onsite.

that radiological studies were being sent overseas to be read. I can only repeat what I was told.

5. Bernie didn't care about Washington State workers losing their jobs

Tens of thousands of people would lose their job if not for IM EX bank and Bernie is voting against them. So, Bernie priorities is not jobs. It's banks.

I don't think it is appropriate to use such an horrific historical event to tout your candidate or deride his opponent, but that is just my view.

It's a very meaningful memorial, for anyone interested in visiting it. Not large, but impactful.

Open 24/7.

9. How is he going to accomplish this?

Its unlikely the current Republican majority would ever allow any such regulation, so what power does any president have to take control over a private sector business and prohibit automation? Pls link to his official policy paper on this issue.

10. Really? What about Roberta Lange's job?
Sat May 28, 2016, 12:45 AM
May 2016

What about all the Bernie fans who called her non-political place of work to cost her a job that had nothing to do with her role in politics? What about the jobs of all the other folks who work at that bar who could lose their jobs as a result of the constant phone calls and distractions? Once that happened, the Bernie movement lost any shred of moral high ground it had left.

15. Are there people on DU who say that, or is this yet another DU straw man?
Sat May 28, 2016, 01:59 AM
May 2016

Like yesterday's thread about how DU posters are railing against Bernie's "class warfare."

Or the threads about how DU posters claim Clinton will reach 2383 via pledged delegates alone.

And so on. DU has too many straw men to count.
