Lobbyists for the National Rifle Association & Wall Street are hosting a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in Washington on March 21 featuring her campaign manager John Podesta.

The host lobbyists include Jeff Forbes, who lobbied for the NRA from 2009 until 2015, Steve Elmendorf, who runs Subject Matter, “a go-to Democratic lobbying firm for corporate interests, raking more than $10 million in fees last year.” with clients: Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Verizon, and Monsanto.

David Castagnetti co-founded Mehlman Castagnetti, one of Washington’s top-grossing lobbying firms, lobbying on behalf of Valeant Pharmaceuticals; under investigation by the SEC for drug pricing practices.

Joel Johnson Managing Director with The Glover Park Group which takes credit for the 2012 Campaign to Fix the Debt an effort to slash earned benefit programs such as Social Security and Medicare under the guise of fixing the nation’s “debt problem.”

4. A similar thread has already tried this lame smear today. Lobbying firms are like advertising firms.

They represent clients from all sides of the political spectrum. Lobbying firms will lobby for both Democratic and Republican positions depending on who hires them. This angle of attack is pretty lame IMO.
