Energizer Bernie: How does Sanders keep going, and going, and going?

“Most candidates half his age would strain under the weight of that schedule. There was one day where he hit five or six states in a single day. I really don’t understand how he does it,” the staffer said.

So how DOES he do it?

However, there has been a sudden wave of new posters who are unusually fanatical in their support for Hillary and their hate for Bernie, and I do wonder how many of those are actually brockpuppets. I am quite sure most DUers who have been supporting Hillary since the beginning are sincere, but for the most part their remarks are not hateful so I respect them.

I never said he made statements that could be explicitly hateful. He's too smart for that. But, in my opinion, he is driven by hatred and that's why he's fighting like the sorest loser I ever did see.

Linking to a website for supporters of Sanders proves zero about me personally, except that I support Sanders. Ridiculous and lame to imply that it does. Of you can't keep track of who posts what, you shouldn't throw around accusations.

My Dad was just like that. He had the same wirey build and the same energy and stamina, both physical and mental. He went on like that, just like Bernie, and only slowed down a little the year before he died, at 97. He was a teacher, published writer, and a farmer, and was super-psyched about doing all of it.

Some people are lit by a fire inside, to do what they're determined to do. Bernie has actually seemed to be enjoying this, and after reading this article, I think he probably is!

The weird thing is, Jane reminds me of my Mom too! Lol! She was very much the same type of person. Very low-key, but fun, kind, very positive, and smart. More educated than one would guess (she had a masters' degree, which wasn't that common among the WW2 generation).

I feel like I "get" them a bit more now. A good article, thanks for it! Apt cartoon too!

Men generally have more energy than women due to having more testosterone.

More women have auto-immune diseases, like the most common kind of thyroid deficiency.

Yes, Bernie does love his country and his fellow humans and that does motivate him to work for change.

35. Interesting article! I'm glad somebody tackled this subject...
Mon May 30, 2016, 03:17 AM
May 2016

...cuz I was wondering myself. I'm 71 and I could NOT keep this pace. Listen to this:

On this holiday weekend when Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, had scheduled just one public event and Hillary Clinton, the most likely Democratic nominee, had nothing public on her schedule, Sanders held one rally after another, interspersed with TV appearances. Ventura, Pomona, and Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday; Long Beach, Inglewood, the Young Turks and Bill Maher on Friday; Santa Barbara, Santa Maria and Bakersfield on Saturday; Visalia and Fresno on Sunday; a few stops in Oakland on Monday.--from the OP (my emphasis)

Those areas are far apart. CA is huge state. That's a lot of travel! And in every clip I've seen of him, he looks and sounds fresh and energized! He is phenomenal! I WANT THIS MAN WORKING ON OUR BEHALF IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

Hillary and Donald can take a Space X rocket to Mars and do their little kabuki theatre there! I want a REAL PRESIDENT who has nothing on his mind but the interests of the people he is serving, and has no other purpose in life but to provide that service, and has 1,000 x the energy of anybody else to do that service with! No lucrative deals with the Saudis on his mind. No wanting to play with the "big boys" in the Fortune 500 or the "Project for a New American Century." No private email server to tend to; no Articles of Impeachment to be presented on the day after his inauguration. No idiotic "walls" to build. No brown people to kick out of the country. No investment portfolios to worry about. No slush funds. No return favors owed to the banksters.

Someone who likes simple living, who likes people, who listens to their problems, and will spend ALL his time and energy solving them! Someone for whom a quick stop at a diner and a brisk walk in the fresh air fully energizes him for the next rally of the 7 scheduled for that weekend in between TV appearances!

My God, WHAT are we losing if we don't make this man President!

The only thing I don't like about the article is that it's got Clinton campaign and Corrupt Media propaganda in it, about Sanders' chances at the nomination. His chances are much better than this article says! For instance, the latest polls show that Sanders has erased a large deficit in CA and is now even with Clinton. All the momentum is on his side AND he very often outdoes the polls, sometimes by significant margins, probably because pollsters are simply not capturing new voters, young voters and independent voters. CA registered 850,000 new voters in CA as of March 31--a huge surge, mostly Democratic registrations, mostly young people.

I noticed the same energy in Admiral Joe Sestak when I volunteered for his campaign in 2010.

At 6 pm on the eve of the election, he was making the rounds of campaign offices to thank the volunteers.

I was dead tired after being there all day; and I noticed that his aides were tired, too. But Admiral Sestak was full of energy.

Sad that he won't be our candidate in November.
