Will you cry when Hillary is not indicted? (Original Post) hrmjustin Jun 2016 OP
No. It would be a terrible thing for the party if she were indicted - The Velveteen Ocelot Jun 2016 #1
Will you cry if she is? What if the FBI finds she violated law, should she run? leveymg Jun 2016 #2

If they wouldn't go after Bush and Cheney or the banksters who crashed the economy, do you seriously think they'll prosecute Hillary? It would look terrible for the Obama administration if his former SoS had to do the perp walk. And it would be powerful ammunition against any Democrat who stepped in to run in her place.

I realized we all get introduced to Justice early on and everyone eventually gets to watch her get ravaged and wrecked until there is nothing but an unrecognizable pulp, lathered in the saliva and lucre of the damned.

So, if HRC gets the nomination and the nation ignores her indiscretions, I'll be long out of tears.

I never thought I'd live to see somebody out BFEE'ing the BFEE. And I really, really, really never thought it would be in my own party.

I think I might cry for:
Haiti
Honduras
Columbia
Libya
Syria
Iraq
Iran
Nigeria
Yemen

If there isn't then the last thing I'd want is for her to be indicted. Hopes and wishes don't figure into it.

I take it you think she shouldn't be indicted, period, whether there's a case against her or not?

if there is cause, she should, If there is no cause, she should not.

But the reaction is rather telling.

And for the record, what I know from the justice system from actually covering courts, the only color that really, really matters in the courts, is green.

If her actions warrant an indictment, then I hope she is indicted, charged and tried, as I would hope the same for the average citizen.

But, I hope she is not indicted. It would not be good for the party. It would be quite the mess.

A candidate getting indicted, however, would be a disastrous thing for the party, whether or not the case were solid. Hell, as we saw in 2000, bad judgment doesn't have to have been officially declared criminal to tip an election.
