2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSenator Sanders Campaign.. you did not do the work that needed to be done
to win this, and getting aggravated at Hillary and her campagin because they did put the work in .. i. is not going to win this.
The campaign could have gone after the SD just like Hillary did.. She campaigned for them just like she campaigned for the Pledged Delegates..She put her ducks in a row.
And it was not something you did not know about.. In 2008 Senator Sanders came out as a SD and endorsed President Obama while they were still fighting it out in the primaries.. the very thing you have been railing against.
It is not a rigged situation.. it is one you just decided to make your own rules up for after the game had already started..
Sometimes you have to just admit it did not work.. and the blame is with how the campaign ran.. Hey HRC had that come to Jesus moment in 2008..
She turned it around and campaigned in a completely different manner.. working the room as they say.. talking to the individual and not the crowd.
She won this.. fair and square..
EDIT TO ADD:.. When I am talking about the campagin.. I am talking about the Weavers, the Devines.. etc.. the powers that plotted this campaign out..

(22,877 posts)this was not rigged.. Yeah its a bit of a lecture I admit.. but if Sanders were a younger man.. he could take all he learned in this go round and probably take it next time.. as an older person myself .. I can say this..he just does not have the time to do it again.. HRC is in her last go at this..

(34,845 posts)Hardly any of his coworkers have endorsed him. I think that's pretty convincing evidence that he did not do the necessary preparation for this campaign. Clinton did.

(22,877 posts)does not hurt.. does not feel totally unfair.. it does to anyone who has to let their candidate go..but she did win this fair and square.. sort of like that old story about the tortoise and the hare.. she just kept going and racking up the delegates and the votes.. she won it.. and she will be name presumptive nominee tomorrow.. post NJ..
