Maddow tells voters stuck in long lines, ‘Your country needs you to stick it out’

“If you are one of those people being forced to stand in those long lines tonight, tomorrow or on election day, honestly, your country needs you to do it,” Maddow said. “Your country needs you to do it not only because it’s your civic responsibility, but also because there are people out there trying to profit politically off of you not doing it. People who are counting on you not having the time or the commitment. People who are trying to profit off of you giving up. It’s gonna be hard to vote this year in a lot of places where it is most important that you vote. Your country needs you to stick it out. No matter who you are voting for, your country needs you to do it.”

for her pessemism because I truly believe that it's an attitude that could depress turnout. I truly do. But, I respect her statement today because I think it's absolutely crucial that voters stick it out.

for her entire career. I really like her a lot, but there are times when I cannot take her negative attitude. It's just a matter of preference. I turn her off when she gets to be too much.

There's no need to be offended about what I wrote. I still do like Rachel.

I like her for who she is and accept the negative with the positive. I dont mean you, but some here wont have any discussions unless they are RahRah Obama and Democrats. There is a whole lot of negative goin on and we need to keep focused. Bravo for Rachel for pointing that out to us. I would think a "liberal stalwart" would understand.

and Ohio, who have allowed this kind of frustration and thwarted the right to vote, knows no bounds.
Damn the bastards to hell.

I dont know why people have to say she is a hack. She strives to honest and is concerned for regular people. Sure she takes shot at both sides, but lets be honest...she attacks the right far more often because the right is enemy of working americans and our democratic system.

she is a gift.

On a good day - she and her program shame most other media outlets with their scope and insight. But I must admit I find her difficult to watch as elections near. She sometimes takes herself to some very dark places. Having said that - I think she has been much better this year than the previous Presidential election cycle.

In the end its a good think my remote can change channels. If I find her difficult to watch - I don't have to.

GET OUT THE VOTE!
