President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton to Campaign in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday, June 15, 2016President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will campaign in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday, June 15. The event follows President Obama's endorsement earlier today that was announced online in a video and email, "I dont think theres ever been someone so qualified to hold this office. Shes got the courage, the compassion, and the heart to get the job done...I have seen her judgment. I've seen her toughness. I've seen her commitment to our values up close. And Ive seen her determination to give every American a fair shot at opportunity, no matter how tough the fight -- thats what's always driven her, and still does."
In Green Bay, President Obama and Clinton will discuss building on the progress we've made and their vision for an America that is stronger together.
Earlier in the week, Hillary Clinton will campaign in Ohio on Monday, June 13 and Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 14.
More details about these events will be released soon. Watch President Obama's endorsement here:

(55,981 posts)questions. I think the President endorsing Clinton before the voting in DC is insensitive to the DC Democrats. What do you think?
NCTraveler
(30,481 posts)No. I think the President ignoring reality is what would have been disrespectful. Every single voter in DC has known who has won for awhile. It hasn't been a secret. The drumming Tuesday couldn't be ignored.
I think Clinton will take DC handily.

(26,060 posts)for DC? Hillary will coast to victory there. There was no reason for Pres Obama to wait.

(47,803 posts)There's a lot of months to endlessly repeat how awful Trump is. Giving giving voters in DC a chance to participate in the process, and giving Bernie a chance to end the primaries on his terms, and help his supporters at least feel like the process was honored would have been an appreciated graciousness regardless of the outcome.

(26,060 posts)With the republicans in disarray, when their leaders can't figure out how to tame the monster they created, it was the perfect time for OUR party to show unity (assuming you are a Democrat).
Armstead
(47,803 posts)That's not a great way to promote "unity"
The Republicans will still be in disarray next week. Maybe moreso

(26,060 posts)like you're reaching for a reason to bitch. Hillary will win DC big next week. If he had done it before NJ and CA, you would have a point, but there was no reason to wait. If Sanders supporters are going to search for reasons to feel "neglected", you're in for a very long 6 months.

(47,803 posts)Trump is defeating himself anyway.
