The American people will never support a candidate whose major theme is bigotry. We will not allow Donald Trump to become president.

(3,687 posts)because of his racism, bigotry
one or two actually realize that he would be worthless as a president and are conflicted, but they still approve of teh racism and bigotry

(3,425 posts)Bernie really needs to demand his supporters drop their "Bernie or Bust" and "never Hillary" pledges and instead pledge to put the welfare of the country ahead of idealism. in November, we are truly deciding the fate of the country and the world.
Bernie has spent a lifetime fighting for us; for social and economic justice, and that SHOULD be his legacy. However, if his supporters stick to their "Bernie of Bust" or "Never Hillary" pledges, they are throwing away their votes and ENABLING the presidency of Dangerous Deranged Donald.
If that happens, Bernie WILL BE REMEMBERED as the man who blew the 2016 election and put Trump in power, with all the horrific consequences.
The Economist, a very highly regarded conservative magazine has listed Trump as one of THE TOP 10 threats to global security.
The Economist rates Trump presidency among its top 10 global risks

Hillary is, IMHO, a seriously flawed candidate. BUT...Trump is SO MUCH WORSE. There's NO comparison. There is a difference. A HUGE difference.
Personally, I'd vote for Nixon, Reagan, W, or even Cheney if that was the only way to stop Trump.
For the sake of Bernie's legacy;
for the sake of the United States;
for the sake of the entire world;
Please don't be blinded by idealism and ideology at the expense of reality. Ugly, unpleasant reality (like voting for HRC) is STILL REALITY, even if we don't like it.
Have no delusions - if you write in Bernie or if you stay home, YOU ARE helping Trump win.
Remember the lessons of History.
Al Gore lost by about 500 votes. Gore got approx 50 million votes. If just 0.00001 % of democratic voters write in/stay home, we could have a Trump presidency. Your vote DOES count. Don't forget the remorse of Nader and Nader supporters. Americans felt - and they felt that the were responsible for EIGHT years of George W. Bush.
Yes, the thought of a HRC presidency might make you want to throw up. The thought of a Trump presidency should make you want to throw up blood.
If you write-in, or stay home, you will be harming the United States, your fellow citizens, and ultimately the citizens of the World if you don't do everything you can to stop Trump. The ONLY thing you can do to stop Trump is to vote for Hillary.
