... sheldon adelson is dropping big money on Newt so he will draw votes from
Santorum which will help Mitt win the nomination.

"The trend is Newt's friend"

And to those of you who have worked on campaigns .. you know what that means.

Newt's head is too big, both literally and figuratively, for him to quit.

Whats flying under the radar in the msm is that Santorum would be a much tougher opponent for Obama.

simply because he can't run back to the middle the was Rmoney can. Ricky is stuck out in far right wing nut land and can't get back.

If Santorum won the nomination he would continue to attack social issues like contraception and that is a huge winning issue for Democrats. Rick would not only lose badly but he would also drag down ever other (R) down ticket.

Santorum is a terrible candidate. Attacking JFK to make a point about the separation of church and state was idiotic. Calling environmentalism a "false theology not based on the bible" was an attack on the Vatican because, although he is to stupid to know it, the Vatican's official position on climate change is very similar to President Obama's (and the rest of us who understand science).

Rick is a nut job. I hope he wins the nomination. The guy is Sarah Palin in a sweater vest without quality advisers.

it is just that a majority of Republicans thought that he was, for a little while. Now he is fixated on fooling them again.

After last night's speech it doesn't sound like he is going anywhere.

It sounds like a brokered convention is a real possibility.

...but he won't go quietly. Nooooot knows at 68 this is his only shot at the golden ring...the dream of his long, narcassistic "career" and he doesn't want to let go of the moment and the fantasy. The moment he drops out he once again goes into the political wilderness and he'll face the ego withdrawl that comes when the media attention passes along. He's finding out the hard lesson that people don't love him the way he thinks they do or should and he "soldiers on" in hopes that we'll "get it". He's gonna want a nice cookie to drop out now...and there's nothing either Millard or Rectorum can deliver...so he "soldiers on". He wants to avoid the moment he has to take Cealis back to the department store he stole her from and go back to fleecing the teabaggers.
