POLL: If the election were held today, who would win - honestly? Romney v. Obama

Vote here: http://www.wepolls.com/p/8400174

Seriously, I think Obama has this in the bag. I kind of hope frothy Rick gets the nomination, though, because then we might see Obama win all but the deep south.

useless maybe, but fun don't you ever just want to get the opinions of your peers even if it isn't in a proper scientific format?

I think Obama would. A lot of people (mainly Rep) say he has trashed this country and everything up to and including the zombie apocalypse is Obama's fault, but deep down I think people really know how he's helped the US. It also gave him brownie points that Bin Laden was taken down while he was in office. If every LGBT person in the country voted, I think it would be an Obama landslide. He abolished DADT, signed for same sex partners to have rights in Medicare/Medicaid, and is overall supportive of the LGBT community.

They only represent like 3% of the country. It would be a landslide if all independents and Latino's voted for Obama.

Nothing is in the bag! A lot can happen between now and November and will. Gas could be at 5.50 a gallon and that bag will have a big hole in it no matter who the rushpublican candidate is. A lot of money is going to be thrown around out there and this campaign will seem like it goes on forever. I expect a lot of voter fatigue as we're already seeing in states where the SuperPacs have gone nuts on the teevee, voter numbers were lower. There's going to be an enthusiasm gap...on both sides and the party that can mobile and get out the vote...has the best ground game will prevail.

The focus needs to be on Congress...while wingnuts may write in Mooselini or the Trix Rabbit or avoid voting for Mittens they'll be there for their favorite teabagger. It's those races that will be crucial and in many ways get the most attention. There'll be a lot of work ahead...there's no room to get complacent due to polls or the ineptness of the rushpublicans...

He can't play not to lose when it's GE time, however, because look at how well that worked out for Thomas Dewey.

There will be voter suppression, bullying at the polls, rigged machines, possibly even another Supreme Court installation.

Sane voters will have to come out in HUGE numbers!

this is from the land of "use your fucking heads, people."

It's like the Mississippi exit polls. You were seriously going to tell me that with that percentage self-identifying as evangelical and stating that "a candidate's religion does matter" that Romney was going to win? Madness.

Obama would beat any of these Republican losers handily - at present - and I believe any poll that says otherwise is completely bullshit.

The female vote, as a beginning and end of the story, makes it very hard for me to believe that a Republican would have a fighting chance.

The problem is that so much can happen between then and now, and complacency is never a winning strategy. So yes - Obama is in all sorts of trouble!!!!!!!

(between us, though, I think if the election took place today, it would be a rout. But shhhhhh.)

Seems I read that those lovely Koch Brothers are causing major speculation in the Oil markets. These two are consistently trying to destroy our economy so Obama will not be re-elected. I wish something can be done to stop their activity to save their greedy richness. The manipulation of the markets I thought was against the law. The speculators need to be put out of business.
