Most Voters Think Obama Will Win

A new Pew Research survey finds that 59% of American voters say that President Obama is likely to be re-elected if his opponent is Mitt Romney.

If the contest is between Obama and Rick Santorum, 68% anticipate an Obama victory.

less than 5% of Repubs have voted and they do not represent the independents and moderate Repubs who no longer want
to identify as Repbulican.

No complacency allowed. No counting your chickens before they hatch. Not only is the White House at stake, but many many seats in both houses of Congress, not to mention state and local posts.

Absolutely no complacency. As a Texan, I did not think ANYONE would be foolish enough to let George W. Bush be governor. And I certainly did not think ANYONE would be foolish enough to let George W. Bush be president. (Yes, I think he cheated, but he still served eight, long years!)

Come election day, everyone needs to be at the polls, bright and early, bringing as many fellow Democrats with you, as possible.

I'm afraid that Democratic and Independent voters will think it's a done deal and will stay home. If we had voted in 2010 as we did in 2008 we wouldn't have the Tea Party.

If voters think he's going to lose, they're going to be dispirited and not nearly as excited about voting for him.

We need to GOTV for those reasons. I don't see it as a losing situation at all. I just think we can't get complacent.

We should also keep 2010 in mind as a learning experience and use it as a reason to GOTV.
