what got me was the "Christian" woman, who that was so hateful of HRC because HRC is such the liar ... as the woman was lying about having seen the email that prompted her hate.

I thought ... I wonder if the woman's pastor/minister/religious leader was proud of his/her congregant?

...the answer to that would be 'yes.'

So much disinformation serves as right-wing political gospel. Just had a fellow arguing about the debunked claim of the black man who was supposedly the first slave owner in America (completely ignoring the fact that the man arrived in Jamestown in 1621, in all likelihood himself a slave, and more).

So much projection...

fundamentalist religions is that most of their ministers do not have formal education in Christian doctrine, morality, logic, counseling. Too many are a whole bundle of inadequacies, bringing nothing to the job but sincerity (one hopes), leaving whole congregations without competent spiritual leadership and moral guidance. Sometimes for life.

None of the half dozen or so local churches I've visited with friends (I like to see what they're like) spoke about, much less educated on, moral issues during my visits.

Of course these people are describing themselves with their own terms like living lies, untrustworthy, without boundaries, etc. I don't even think it's projection, Bigtree. That one at least the one was born with a label, Christian, which tells her she is one of the good people. Especially with, but even without, that religious certainty, assumptions of personal virtue for many are never examined, no matter how badly they and the group they identify as their own are behaving.

Thanks for the clip, though. It was a hoot.

...and I refuse to believe they're making these claims in good faith.

They're made out of hatred and fear. That's what propels many of these fundie clans. That's what she's projecting, not religion. The religion is used to try and provide justification for their biases.

...welcome to the great "Democracy" we have created. Aren't you proud of your fellow citizens? shouldn't we hold dear the "will of the people".

Democracies only work with an informed elctorate.

We are totally screwed.

Idiocracy is here!

Hopefully these people don't vote. Certainly Trump voters if they do. Why do the Clintons keep hitting themselves?

...prosecutors regularly meet 'privately' with defendants.

Hubub over a private conversation between the AG and the husband of a mere subject in an investigation means NOTHING. Folks who play into that sort of banality don't have any interest in the truth and can't be reached.

You might enjoy his interviews re Obamacare versus the Affordable Care Act.

If you ask people what Clinton supposedly lied about they have no fucking clue. Then they will go find some edited bullshit YouTube video claiming she lied about stuff that is basically just policy things they disagree with.

I have zero respect for people like that. None.

People hold up democracy as if it is somehow this magical thing. It is just the least worst system out of a number of even worse systems. To quote H. L. Mencken:

"Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." - H. L. Mencken
