In this election year, when dealing with Republicans/Trump voters, HERE is how you do it:

First, the decided R voter/Trump voter will not change his/her mind, so even talking to them at all is basically a waste of time. But if you're in that situation where you are confronted and cornered, or you have that asswipe uncle, cousin, neighbor, or co-worker who just won't shut the hell up and you are virtually forced to "hit" back, here is how you do it:

1) Don't play nice. Be TOUGH. It's the only way to deal with political bullies and SHUT THEM UP.

2) DO NOT make statements or give long lectures. ASK FRAMED QUESTIONS because it is much more effective. It makes their heads spin, faces turn red, and smoke come out of their ears when they get brain-tied. So it goes like this:

* "If Trump is trying to Make America great again, why does he MAKE his ties in China, his shirts in Mexico, and his suits in Bangladesh? Why isn't he making all those clothes in America and hiring American workers at good wages to do it? Please, EXPLAIN THIS IN DETAIL." (** Always as for DETAIL and SPECIFICS. This REALLY fries their brains.)

* "So, Trump wants to make America great again? Surely that means less pollution and well trained workers, right? What is his environmental plan, and what are his education plans, especially with regard to higher education? How does he plan to make college more affordable? Please explain in detail."

* "So, you think Hillary is a constant corrupt liar? Please SPECIFICALLY tell me how she is corrupt and just what she has lied about? Again, BE VERY SPECIFIC. If you are willing to make such a charge, I want lots of DETAILS." (Then be prepared with follow ups if they start to spout some things. ALWAYS ASK FOR MANY SPECIFICS AND DETAILED EXPLANATIONS.)

* If the right winger starts talking about Benghazi, ask: "Exactly where is Benghazi, what exactly happened there, and just exactly what do you think Hillary Clinton did wrong? Be very specific." --- "Nine investigations including several by the REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED Congress have cleared Hillary Clinton and the White House of any wrongdoing with regard to Benghazi. How do you explain that?" --- "You are aware I'm sure that in 1983 250 marines were blown up in Lebanon by an insurgent suicide attack? Should Ronald Reagan and his Sec. of State George Schultz have been indicted for that? If not, why not? You certainly should be MUCH more upset about that than Benghazi where only four people were lost."

* On the Email thing: "So, you think Hillary should be indicted for the email controversy? Please explain to me in detail just what law was broken, exactly how she broke it, and exactly what evidence proves any kind of criminal intent?" --- "Should REPUBLICAN retired Army general and former Sec. of State Colin Powell also be indicted since he also used private email at the State Dept.?"

* "So you want to cut welfare? Then you must also want to cut the hundreds of billions of dollars a year we give in CORPORATE WELFARE to oil and gas companies, etc. right?" --- "You are against socialism? So that must mean we should eliminate the socialist US military? It is certainly a massive government program, right?" (And so on.)

You all get the picture. FRAME the issues into questions and ask them to explain with DETAIL. They usually can't, and they get BRAIN-TIED. If they challenge your facts just say, "If you don't believe me, RESEARCH IT AND USE GOOD SOURCES OF INFORMATION, NOT JUST THE FOX NEWS RIGHT WING PROPAGANDA STATION." Often they will storm off in a huff.

Again, it won't change their minds but it does give you the satisfaction of making the steam come out of their ears, and it shuts them up. Just be armed with the facts and follow-ups if they try to answer. In most cases, ALL they have is talking points they've gotten on FOX NEWS or from other right wing media. They usually do not have the ability to make ANY real case, let alone a strong one based on facts and details.

I have used this approach time and again, and I LLLLLLLLLLOVE to watch the steam come out of their ears and watch them walk off in a huff. LOVE IT.

I remained calm and at one point he reached down to his gun holster ( he was made to leave the gun beforehand in the car by his Mother).

Later I heard after I left that Aunt Kim is pretty smart.
