(6,399 posts)It's like with a chunk of the primaries in how things are done, common sense and understanding of how things work were just tossed out the window in favor of achieving an dreamed of/believed of ending. Glad to be done with this finally as most who understand the workings knew it would.

(19,066 posts)No precedent for pursuing charges. No obstruction, no intent. No reasonable prosecutor would pursue.

(58,785 posts)amoral, unprincipled people to railroad her into jail? Or at least into disgraced retirement?
I was just wondering what you imagine she "dodged." Seems like a strange way to describe the FBI director's explicit statement that they did not discover that she committed any actionable crime whatsoever, no willful or intentional misconduct, no indications of disloyalty to the United States at all, no efforts to obstruct justice at all any after a year's extremely intensive investigation.
She is and always was innocent, NYCorona.

Still, the wait is over. On to the GE campaign!

(146,317 posts)Some of us have been saying that from the very beginning.
No freaking indictment was ever going to be issued.
IT IS OVER!

(146,317 posts)The investigation was thorough, and found no case for an indictment. You are incorrect.

Just yesterday, Comey was a man of integrity who couldn't be scared-off by the evil Clinton Machine. Today he is a cowering idiot who took a dive.

(95,337 posts)20+ years of trying to smear the bejesus out of this woman and she still stands strong (and absolutely nothing has been found).
If this woman can stand strong against all those GOP Witchhunts then I know she will stand strong for our country too!

(15,805 posts)Surely he will become an enthusiastic supporter now that this investigation closes the last door he had. He needs to do the right thing and back her as the apparent nominee before the convention, especially since that he's already gotten a lot of significant policies added to the Dem platform. He would be a great asset to speak as her supporter and not join the Republicans in throwing around the same old "rigged" theme.
