FBI Director James Comey: "No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear"

<...>

"No outside influence of any kind was brought to bear," he said.

The Justice Department and other branches of the Obama administration were not informed of his decision before Tuesday, he told reporters, adding that they would be finding out along with everyone else as he spoke.

People who looked at all this objectively have predicted that there would be no indictment from the very beginning. Everyone hoping for one was engaged in non-logical, wishful thinking. That's been clear to me since this first came up. The FBI conducts fact-based investigations That's its job.

The conclusion reached was the only one that could have been reached.

This investigation has always bugged me. Every time there's a Clinton scandal it drags on for far too long. So, when Director Comey began his statement, early on it felt like he was leading to a different conclusion.

Ultimately, you were proven correct, MineralMan, and no charges were recommended. I know you've made this point for some time and your cautious realism balanced some of the other more excitable comments we've seen.

On to the General Election of Democratic candidates.

No charges mean just that.
If there was any there there they would have recommended a special prosecuter.
Careless is not criminal.
The people that hate HRC will still hate her.
The orange lantern will still vomit on twitter .
We move on.
