my campaign. Not because she wasn't disappointed about the outcome of the primary, but she knew that there was something at stake that was bigger than either of us. And that was the direction of our country. And how are we going to make sure that all the people who are counting on us can see a better life."
A standard that is apparently hard to live by.

(2,900 posts)order, and that has carried me through the long 8 years. I was a Clinton supporter in 2008 and remain so, because her liberal credentials are long and convincing.
What Obama did correctly was wait out the opposition, giving them enough rope to tie themselves in knots and let the courts work through the liberal positions. A lot has been accomplished through the courts in 8 years, and two major setbacks: Citizens United and overturning the Voting Rights Act requirement of pre-approval for confederate states. We've won pretty much every other fight with the fuckers.
Upon inauguration, Clinton will get to nominate one Supreme Court Justice (Merrick is too old and too white) and probably others in the next four years.
I hope that all liberals can appreciate that we now need to register potential democratic voters and get them to the polls. The long 50 years after the Voting Rights Act is over, and the demographic tide has turned.
