Bernie may endorse Hillary next week.

ABC News:

Bernie Sanders’ and Hillary Clinton’s campaigns are in talks about a possible event at which Sanders would endorse Clinton, ABC News has confirmed, according to sources close to his campaign.

Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton could come sometime next week, possibly at an event in New Hampshire.

The important thing for Hillary is that he endorses her. You may not care but I think many do. floriduck Jul 2016 #5

You should want to see things happen that benefit her. Please don't pout.

the Republican National Convention.

Here is why: The Republican Nominee often gets a "bounce" right after the convention because they get a week long news cycle all to themselves.

If we disrupt that news cycle with a bombshell, like Bernie's endorsement and two days later the VP announcement, that's a one two punch that will destroy any potential bump the RNC could provide via the convention.

Then, a week later, we get to have the Democratic convention.

Allow me to present another idea.

I think an endorsement prior to the Republican convention would provide a demonstration of unity and a remarkable contrast to their circus of hate and self-hatred. Timing the endorsement prior to, and perhaps an event in the middle of their pathetic little parade would gain a great deal of media coverage, and go quite far to negate any "bounce" traditionally expected from their convention.

I like the idea of announcing a veep in the day or two following the R convention.
