2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo what will be the Democratic GE debate strategy?
Lots of debates? No debates at all?
On one hand, the more Trump is on stage with Clinton, the more opportunity he has to reveal the depths of his assholery.
OTOH, the more Trump is on stage with Clinton, the more his campaign is legitimized rather than mocked and ridiculed (which should be our 2nd favorite response), or flat ignored (which should be our default response).
Maybe Hillary should get in stage with Trump, pretend he's not there, and just monologue her way through the debate! That would actually warm my heart, as the worst thing you could do to Trump is deny him his attention.

(Although Hillary will undoubtedly do very well as well.)

(1,122 posts)As for strategy
its too early.
One reason: anything that happens, domestic and/or foreign, closer to debate schedules.
I think, quite frankly, the debates have little impact on peoples voting. (They will, probably with 95 percent, vote for who they want
with the debates having about a 5-percent chance at changing their minds.)
