2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumCan we please lay off the polls for awhile. It's pretty useless at this point in time.
First, most of the polls out there right now show Clinton with a strong national lead and leading in most or all of the swing states. But look, right now polls don't mean a whole lot and won't until after Labor Day. Most people aren't paying very close attention right now. Also, there is volatility since VP's are being picked and conventions are happening. And people are busy having backyard barbecues and going on summer vacations.
The American people are not going to elect the racist fraud who is Trump. Just wait until the Dem convention. It will be an all out DUMP THE TRUMP fest.
So let's just chill it with the polls. No point obsessing on this poll here and that poll there at this time.

As if panicking ever did anything.
Anyway she's up in three solid national polls and in all the aggregators and this despite the Comey hit job. Trump is a buffoon.
Organize, register, vote.

(11,175 posts)It's worth keeping an eye on how close each of those minor-party candidates is to the 15% polling threshold for entry into the debates.
July polls aren't worth much for predicting November votes but debate eligibility is based on polling results, not actual votes.
