... at the Waldorff Astoria hotel.
The Romney Campaign is happy enough: Nobody cares about that crap.
Has Mitt Romney Run a Lousy Campaign?
... One GOP presidential campaign veteran, who requested anonymity in order to speak freely, said the Romney campaign has shown a "perplexing" inability to prepare for the obvious.
... "Why is this so frickin' hard?" the consultant said. "Just say, 'I feel very fortunate, a lot of people helped me get where I am today, and the great thing about America is that anybody can make it like I did.'"
... (Another) Washington-based Republican adviser recounted an interaction in which a senior member of the Romney team, asked what the campaign planned to do to soften the class-based criticism of Romney, gave a blank look and snapped, "Nobody cares about that crap."
"It's clear they have some amazing blind spots," the adviser said. "They don't understand the flaws of their candidate and how damaging this class stuff is. They're just not self-aware at all." The adviser pointed to the way Romney's taxes were released -- hasty, sloppy and reactive, on an issue that should have been easy to foresee.

(25,183 posts)1. And yet
He's not going to do badly in this state's primary next month. He'll probably clear the 50% mark, almost certainly so if Noot either drops out or is marginalized to the point where he may as well drop out.

(25,183 posts)4. I expect Santorum to do well upstate
But most NY GOP voters are suburbanites who really want a 1%'er at the helm. You're right, at this time they don't have a lot of choice. Noot is just not popular up north, and I have yet to see any Paulbots here. A couple of weeks ago, I did see a Ron Paul bumper sticker in NJ, but that was near the PA border.
