2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAm I the only one not watching the GOP convention?
I watched about 2 minutes of Pense last night and heard a few minutes of Cruz and one of the Trump kids while driving in the car, but I just can't bear to watch it. I don't find Republicans interesting or entertaining, and I certainly wouldn't consider voting for any of them. Others here seem to either enjoy it or find it important to keep themselves informed on what Trump and company are saying, beyond the coverage in the press. I just don't feel it's a worthwhile use of my time, and I find them unbearable. Am I missing out?

(53,072 posts)so it takes some effort to watch anything. Republicans don't motivate me to make that effort.
Mr. Robot, however, is another matter. I hope to find it online tonight.

(24,773 posts)I'm tuned into DU for updates. I just don't have the stomach to watch a real life "Lord of the Flies" with the Tangerine Tyrant ranting and raving like the maniac he is.

(5,008 posts)I don't feel like hearing them talk about how amazing Trump did if he completes a sentence. SMH So I'm watching Big Brother and relying on DU for updates.

(503 posts)but I can stream stuff, like CBS live. I deleted Newsy when they showed that horrid campaign ad with the graveyard ("Benghazi" . I tried CBS long enough to see a reporter ask one of the walkouts if he would vote for Hillary. I flipped it off at one word ("Benghazi" .
I've been watching documentaries and reading DU instead.

(51,016 posts)and to watch the speeches after. They vote Democratic but "want to be informed." The dinner was lovely. The conversation was lovely. Then the TV went on and I lasted 15 minutes before I had to leave.
