I think I know why Ted Cruz screwed Trump

His campaign manager Jeff Roe.

Jeff Roe was the engine behind Ted Cruz campaign and was with him in Cleveland. Jeff Roe is more ruthless than Karl Rove and acts with vengeance. He was involved in many political dirty tricks in Missouri where he built his skills.

Jeff Roe was probably as pissued off at Trump as Cruz and he wanted revenge.

What better revenge than to stick it to Trump on the National stage at his own party?

Jeff Roe will be back and will be playing dirty trick as always, he is young and will be even dirtier than Rove.


That is my take having known Jeff Roe for longer than I would like.

2. Trump is one of the few people in the world who equals the disgust of Ted Cruz

Being members of the ape family this was an alpha male display for power. One ape took his mate and fled but hopes some day to devour his rival.

5. Cruz is more concerned with orthodox conservatism than anything else

The true red conservatism has morphed into a religion, and Cruz is angling to become its high priest. I expected demographics and common sense to reduce the popularity of this pure brand of conservatism, but I was surprised that the result of the primary season is that it would come in 3rd place.

I don't know about Jeff Roe, I'll have to look him up.

6. Cruz is a self-serving asshole who doesn't care about his party.

He knows Trump losing in 2016 is Cruz's best chance to win in 2020. He thinks he's entitled to the presidency and he doesn't care who he pisses off on his way to doing so.

In 2020, Roe will be at Cruz side once again.

7. Cruz is the lifeboat and Trump is the Titanic. They want to keep the base in the party.

It is all about providing Republicans who hate Trump with a party faction they can still adhere to. Same thing is happening in the states, Flake in AZ trying to prevent the state from going blue by giving the impression that you can still be a Republican if you don't support Trump. These guys are working from the same script.
