They are acting like self-absorbed, bratty clowns. This isn't their convention, but almost everyone I've heard interviewed seem to think all the superdelegates are going to stage some sort of surprise coup and -- poof! -- magically Bernie Sanders will become the nominee.

Its more about short term gratification to massage their egos and emotions at this point, they don't seem to see the big picture.
